space and community for emerging artists, collectors, and art enthusiasts

ArtfulATL_Chalk.jpg

Artful ATL is a curated series dedicated to celebrating, supporting, and elevating artists across Atlanta's creative landscape.

Born from nearly 15 years of programming by founders Esohe and George Galbreath, Artful ATL made its debut at Atlanta Contemporary in June 2025 — bringing together 35 artists, 800+ patrons, and $75,000 in artwork sales. What started as a vision for more intentional access to the arts is now a growing ecosystem of year-round programming: artist informationals, open critiques, an Atlanta Art Fair activation, and a day-long artist symposium covering wellness, finance, grants, and the business of art.

We center emerging Atlanta-metro artists and the collectors who are ready to find them — creating the kinds of conversations, connections, and community that traditional art markets too often leave out.

10/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND! What a night of art, community, and culture! It was wonderful to see so many art enthusiasts gathered in one place. I spent the evening connecting with some truly amazing people while appreciating a diverse range of artists and creative perspectives. The curation was thoughtful, and the artistry on display was incredibly impressive. I’ll definitely be back for the next one!

God really blessed me when I was aligned with my @artfulatl family! I’ll say it a million times - I would not be the artist I am today without @artfulatl!

As an artist, educator, and collector, I know this (Artful ATL) is one of the most enjoyable events for emerging artists and collectors.

This art journey can be so incredibly taxing but in moments like these the payoff feels big. What Geroge and Esohe have cultivated over the years with @artfulatl is mind blowing to say the least, very powerful stuff.

Artful was exactly what the name says. A room full of art, intention, culture, and people who truly showed up for the work. Grateful to be in spaces where creativity is not just displayed, but felt.

More art. More community. More moments like this.

george⬝galbreath

George Galbreath graduated from Hickman High School in 1997 and received his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from Howard University in 2000. He completed his M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction at the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2002. Throughout his eighteen years of classroom teaching, including sixteen years with the Fulton County School District in Atlanta, Georgia, he has maintained a career as a working artist. He currently serves as Art Department Chair at Westlake High School. His work has most recently been showcased in his 2021 solo exhibition at P2 Gallery in Castleberry Hill Art District.

George was also awarded the Roanne H. Victor Merit Award; Juried Plein Air Exhibit at Rice Gallery (Kansas City, MO) and the African American Art Exhibition at the Actors Theatre (Louisville, KY) in 2018; and several exhibits throughout the city of Atlanta. He was awarded Best in Show in 2015, and Honorable Mention in 2016, at Georgia Art Educators Association (GAEA) exhibit. George was also a 2016 and 2018 Bombay Sapphire Artisan Series semi-finalist. He is the co-founder of non-profit UAE Youth Artist Program and co-founder/co-curator of ARTiculate ATL in Atlanta, GA.

George is an active member of the Castleberry Hill Neighborhood Association and finds inspiration living in the historic arts district with his wife Esohe. George and Esohe are members of the historic Ebenezer Baptist Church.

esohe⬝galbreath

Esohe Galbreath is the founder and principal of Sohé Solutions, where she supports small businesses and creatives in the areas of accounting, finance, and organization. Esohe completed her collegiate studies in Electrical Engineering at the University of Kentucky. In 2004, she began her career at UPS and held management roles in Distribution Solutions, Implementations, Operations, Engineering, and Transportation Solutions, and in her free time assisted small businesses with planning, financial documentation, and tax preparation. In 2012, Esohe merged her corporate experience with her passion for the arts and working with creatives to form Sohé Solutions – Boutique Small Business Consulting.

In early 2015, Esohe decided to dedicate 100% of her time to her entrepreneurial endeavors. Through consulting clients, Esohe discovered a love and passion for working with creatives, artists, and visionaries and in with her husband George was inspired to co-found ARTiculate ATL and the Youth Artists Program – a 501c3 non-profit bridging the exposure gap of some of Atlanta’s most visually talented youth. Esohe and George are also avid art collectors and recently published The Galbreath Collection, A Decade of Collecting Atlanta featuring over 100 pieces of artwork from 70 artists. This year, Esohe and George founded Artful ATL, a platform dedicated to creating and curating space and community for emerging artists, emerging collectors, and art enthusiasts.

As Esohe continues to immerse herself in Atlanta’s rising artist economy, she has served as President of the Castleberry Hill Neighborhood Association and finds inspiration living in the historic arts district with her husband George. Esohe is a New Leaders Council (NLC) 2016 Fellow and served as 2018-2020 Co-Director for NLC-Atlanta. She currently serves as treasurer for College AIM and for the African Diaspora Art Museum of Atlanta (ADAMA.) Esohe and George are members of the historic Ebenezer Baptist Church.
